Pick up a car at the airport is simple. Just place your phone number and flight number in your booking. The rental company will track your arrival and call you after you land to arrange pickup right outside the terminal. Their office is only about a 3-minute drive from the airport.

Wait for them outside the terminal, behind the small wooden fence by the bus stop. They’ll pick you up and drive you to their office. If they have many customers arriving at the same time, they might take only the drivers first, so your travel companions may have to wait at the airport until you return with the car.

Be sure to take photos of the car when you pick it up and if any damage occurs, follow the instructions given by the rental staff. Returning the car works almost the same, just in reverse. Drop the car off at their office, and they’ll take everyone back to the airport together so you can easily check in for your flight.

A quick note on the boats: Ribeira Brava is ideal for families with kids (even for the very little ones), very safe and a bit slower, but you’ll see the same wildlife as on the Stenella boat. This one is faster, so you’ll reach dolphins and whales more quickly, and it’s also a better choice if you’re prone to seasickness. The smooth, swift ride makes it much less likely.
